What languages can you speak?
Chinese, English, and, you know, broken French.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
Music (chamber, student recitals, chorus, potentially jazz band), iclub, MUN and Philo.
What has been your experience as an international student like? (If applicable)
It has been quite an experience. A diverse background enables me to look at things from different perspectives, and there is acknowledgement and respect for different cultures here at Andover because of the diversity of the community.
What are your favorite thing(s) about Andover?
It’s quite inclusive, mainly because people are willing to help as long as you reach out to them. I also like how there are so many differences between people. It makes everything interesting!!
How does Andover compare to your home?
The community back home is homogenous, and there is very little discussion of cultural, racial and ethnical diversity.
Briefly talk about an interesting experience you had while visiting another part of the world (if applicable).
I remember my family going skiing one time in Canada. I think it was our first time and I was still in first grade, and when we went on the cables we didn't know that we should put down the safety bar (it wasn’t automatic at the time), and no one was there to escort us, so we were terrified by the height by the time we had reached the top.
