What has been your experience as an international student like? (If applicable)
Andover is such a diverse community. There are 44 countries represented, 46% of the student body are students of color and 9% are international students. I never felt as though I didn't belong or fit in. In my dorm, in my classes, in my extracurriculars, I could always find students I could culturally relate with. Everyone here is so welcoming and interested in learning about your culture. Because the student body is so diverse, I was also able to learn about many different cultures as well! Because of this, I integrated into the Andover community really smoothly.
What are your favorite thing(s) about Andover?
I love the feeling of community in Andover. I love all the friends I made and my teachers. I feel as though they will always be there to support me through my Andover career. The people here are just so friendly and supportive of everything you do and want to try. The breathtaking campus is also a plus!
How does Andover compare to your home?
Living in Hong Kong is very different to living in Andover. I was used to living in a city with the crowdedness and bustling noises that came with it. Coming to Andover, I was new to the whole suburban life and the New England weather. Experiencing a New England winter is an unforgettable!
