How does Andover compare to your home?
Andover, though smaller than my home city, feels like a bigger yet more closely-knit community. With most people, including friends and faculty on campus, Andover really feels like home. Every time I go back to Shanghai, there's always a part of me that wants to return to the place I've spent the past three years in.
What is an interesting experience while visiting another part of the world?
When I was in Rome this past summer, we went all the way up to the top of St. Peter's Basilica. It was a very narrow site-seeing balcony but you could see all of Rome from above. While taking pictures among the endless crowds of people, we suddenly heard a shriek, followed by the loudest sobs I've ever heard in my entire life. A little baby was crying in her mother's arms; everyone could hear her. That certainly made me remember my experience on top of the Basilica. (Profile picture was taken there as a matter of fact)
