      What languages can you speak?

I can speak English, Korean, and a little bit of Spanish.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?

I play the cello in two orchestras, play in chamber music groups, write for the news and commentary sections in The Phillipian, play on the girls jv1 squash team, and manage girls varsity a tennis.

What are your favorite thing(s) on campus?

My favorite place on campus is the squash courts in Snyder, silent study, or gelb. I really like  hanging out with my friends and lawning.

How does Andover compare to your home?

I am from California, so the most different part of Andover besides the fact that my parents don’t live with me is the weather, especially in the winter.

Briefly talk about an interesting experience you had while visiting another part of the world (if applicable).

I went backpacking in Peru with my mom the summer before I came to Andover. At the time, I didn’t know how to speak any Spanish, so I had to learn to communicate with body language. The most memorable part of my visit was climbing up to Machu Picchu. This was my first time experiencing altitude sickness, and the group I went with got coca leaves to chew to help adjust to the new altitude. I had a lot of fun experiencing the new environment!
