      What languages can you speak?

I am fluent in Italian and English. I am currently learning German and Spanish.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?

International Club (iClub & NISO), Robotics Club, EAT Club, Fights for Rights Club

What has been your experience as an international student? (or your domestic background in contrast to New England culture?)

Living and studying abroad was honestly a struggle at first, but completely worth it. In these past two years I have learned so many things, not only academically, but also culturally and linguistically, from both international and domestic students. I also love sharing my own past and talking about my home with fellow students, most of whom have a great interest towards diversity.

What are your favorite thing(s) about Andover?

I really love the Andover community! Everyone, no matter the age or position, is really friendly and ready to help others. Before coming to PA I had never experienced such a place where a huge group of students and staff were a family.

How does Andover compare to your home?

I lived in a small but urban city before coming to Andover. Everywhere I went there were cars, offices, and people rushing to work, barely any green life. Whereas Andover is full of trees, various animals and barely any cars pass through campus. Personally, I really love nature so walking though campus is always pleasing and feels like the start of a new adventure through leaves, trees, birds, and squirrels.

What is an interesting experience while visiting another part of the world?

By living and studying in another part of the world I started thinking more about my own home, culture, and family. I started to see the importance of my country’s history and how lucky I was to have grown up in a city composed of old buildings richly decorated with frescoes and flowers. I also have a completely different picture of my own culture in my head. I started reasoning and wondering why my people act, dress, eat and feel the way the do in Italy and how they are different from other people around the world. Moreover, I started to treasure and understand more the reason behind every single teaching from my parents.
