What languages can you speak?
English, I used to study Spanish and now I’m learning Chinese.
What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
International Club, Just Like Home, Penpals, Jumpstart, Science Club for Girls, and PA Printer
What are your favorite thing(s) on campus?
My favorite things on campus would have to be the amazing and supportive faculty and also all the resources available to the students. The teachers and adults in your life at Andover genuinely care about you and love what they do. They are such an amazing support that will help you through everything, every step of the way. As for the resources, Andover has everything you could ever dream of, and you will always be busy with something new to do.
How does Andover compare to your home?
Andover is really different from my home because it offers you so much in terms of classes and opportunities. Back home, the types and levels of the classes that I could take were super limiting, but here, you can study almost anything you can dream of and more. The resources at this school are spectacular and still leave me in awe.
Briefly talk about an interesting experience you had while visiting another part of the world (if applicable)
About 3 years ago, I had visited Asia for the first time and one interesting experience I had there was in Thailand. We went to Chatuchak Market in Bangkok, which is the biggest market in Thailand and it was absolutely insane. There were over 15,000 stalls with people selling anything you could think of. Being from a really small country, I had never seen so many things being sold in such condensed area. There, I was able to bargain with the stall-keepers to lower the already low prices and get myself a pair of elephant pants. I had never experienced anything like that before going there, and it really helped me see more of their shopping culture.
